We arrived in town too early even for early check-in at our hotel. Corner restaurant was a great place to hang out to spend the hour while we waited. We sat out-of-the-way and our server was cool about it as it was not a particularly busy time of day. The food was good and they served delicious mocktails. The people watching and weather was perfection.
We went here based on the amazing reviews. During the day as we met different locals we were told to go to other places - I feel like they were steering us to local favorites which is advice I would normally listen to, but I couldn't get over the fantastic reviews so we kept our reservation. I'm really glad we went! The service and food was wonderful. The reviewers were right!
This was hands down one of the most memorable meals I’ve had. The cocktails were fantastic, and our server couldn’t have been better—attentive, friendly, and on point all night. It was the perfect stop before heading to the Tame Impala show. The spicy cornbread was an unexpected highlight, and both the Texas red snapper and Baja shrimp tacos were packed with flavor. Everything came together flawlessly, from the food to the service. An all-around exceptional experience.
went here for a friend’s birthday brunch and had a good time! it was definitely on the nicer side. they were able to accommodate a huge table of us which was great! food was presented really nicely and i’d say it was worth the buck. great place to go for a nice brunch!
Really enjoyed my first visit to Corner in downtown Austin. The cornbread starter is a must - just make sure you ask for extra butter. My friends ordered the wagyu burger and the salmon respectively and both were delicious. I went with the steak which initially came out rare rather than medium rare, so I did have to send it back. The manager handled it graciously, apologized and treated our table to dessert on the house. The peach cobbler with praline ice cream was wonderful - the crust was particularly good and the ice cream was delicious. A solid restaurant with good food and great hospitality.
I don't have a picture of it but everyone I was with loved their burgers. I got the trim tacos and my son really enjoyed his chicken fingers and French fries. Over all the very tasty place and nice atmosphere and not too loud with a nice modern aesthetic.
Pros: The salmon was exceptional—easily the second-best meal I have ever had. Service: The service was outstanding. The servers were attentive, professional, and ensured we had a pleasant dining experience. My first time in Austin, and the first dinner I wanted to take my wife had to be good… I looked at many places and this restaurant, Corner, popped up with 4.8 stars, but I think they were wrong; it deserves 5 stars… everything was delicious. We decided to start with the snapper ceviche, then the grilled flat iron steak, and the corn on the cob… amazing! And then a tres leches cake, which was delicious… I recommend it a thousand times over, and thanks to Brandon for his great service.
